Grass Belts 3 HRs Wednesday, July 19th , 2079 Jersey City Sea Serpents right fielder Danny Grass had a magnificent game against the Oxnard Tigercats, rocketing three balls out of Oxnard Fields to help the Sea Serpents win, 7-1. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Grass went 3-for-4 with 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Jersey City manager said later. "Seems like Danny found his home run stroke today." Danny Grass hit a two-run home run off J.D. Haynes in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off J.D. Haynes in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Mark Dand in the 5th and struck out in the 8th. Thus far this season, Grass is hitting .290 with 11 home runs, 29 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has 56 hits in 193 at-bats and has played in 56 games. |
