Chesapeake's Danny Ronquillo Injured Wednesday, July 7th , 2083 Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against San Bernadino Sun Devils, Rams reliever Danny Ronquillo was injured throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 11-12 months with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The Chesapeake skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow. This season, Ronquillo has chalked up a 6.06 ERA while ringing up no saves with 1 win and 11 losses. He has made no relief appearances, pitching 71.1 innings, giving up 74 hits, and holding opponents to a .270 batting average. Ronquillo has also recorded 72 strikeouts and allowed 44 walks. |
