Thursday, July 13th , 2079
Alejandro Alfaro announced his retirement today according to sources inside the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks organization.
Alfaro, who is 36 years old, gave reporters some of his plans for the near future.
"I'm going to do a lot of hunting and fishing," he said. "I've always been focused on getting ready for the next season, so maybe now I can slow down and enjoy time away from it all."
Alfaro went back and forth with the press in a friendly manner during his press conference.
"I'm sure there's a small-mouth bass out there with my name on it," he said.
During his career, Alfaro has played in 1301 games, batted .235 with 44 home runs and 1086 base hits.
