Olmos Hits 3 Homers Monday, June 28th , 2083 Fans seated in the bleacher section at Ballpark of Akron were taking cover all day long as Jose Olmos zeroed in on them, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power. The big game from the Garland catcher helped the Pigeons take the victory, 11-6, over the Akron Pickets. "I told myself not to press on the last one," he told reporters in the postgame press conference. "I knew I couldn't force it -- it has to be a nice easy swing." For the game, he collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 5 and scored 3 runs. Jose Olmos hit a solo-shot off Ken Wellon in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Ken Wellon in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Yolber Regueira in the 9th.
