Labrada Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Saturday, June 10th , 2079 Chalk up another one for Joliet Blues left fielder Eddy Labrada. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Labrada went 2-for-4 in today's game at Sumos Ballpark but saw his club defeated, 12-2, by the host Hicksville Sumos. "Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Blues manager said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Eddy Labrada grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Bernd Miller in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and doubled in the 9th. Labrada is currently hitting .360 with 11 home runsand 38 RBIs, while scoring 34 runs. |
