Quiles Gone for Season in Garland
Wednesday, June 2nd , 2083
Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against Chesapeake Rams, Pigeons reliever David Quiles was injured throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 9 months with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The Garland skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow.

This season, Quiles has chalked up a 3.86 ERA while ringing up no saves with 1 win and 1 loss. He has made 18 relief appearances, pitching 25.2 innings, giving up 22 hits, and holding opponents to a .234 batting average. Quiles has also recorded 29 strikeouts and allowed 9 walks.
