May's Top Hurler is Penafiel Thursday, June 1st , 2079 The Alpha Conference announced the winner of the Pitcher of the Month Award for May. It went to Mario Penafiel of Riverside for his outstanding 4-1 record and 2.18 ERA. Penafiel also chalked up 6 starts, 41.1 innings and 45 strikeouts. This year, Penafiel has fanned 77 in 69.2 innings and collected a 7-1 record with a 2.33 ERA. |
