That's exactly what Mario Ortega did at Ballpark of Akron, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 9-8. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Ortega said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Akron Pickets catcher blistered the Santa Ana Broncs for 3 hits, batted in 4 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Santa Ana manager said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Mario Ortega hit a solo-shot off Emilio García in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Chris Caceres in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Nelson Cuevas in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.
