Griffin Sizzles in No-Hitter Sunday, April 30th , 2079 Is it better to be lucky or good? After leading the Garland Pigeons to victory, 10-0, and tossing a no-hitter over the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks, Rob Griffin didn't have the answer. "I don't know," Griffin said. "To do what I did today, I'm pretty sure it takes both." On his big day at Pigeons Ballpark, Griffin fanned 9 and had 2 walks. And it seemed that when the Chinooks managed to hit the ball hard, it went right at a defender. "That's how you get a no-hitter," Griffin said with a smile. "A lot of skill mixed with a little luck."
