Reliever of the Year Award Goes to Shuai Tuesday, September 21st , 2083 The Beta Conference Reliever of the Year Award for 2083 has been bestowed on Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks relief specialist Shan Shuai. The 30-year-old bullpen ace, out of Chongqing, China, nailed down the award with 5 saves in 59 relief appearances, 83 strikeouts in 74.1 innings and a record of 1 win and 5 losses to go with his 2.42 ERA. He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jose Bustamante of the Arlington Mallards finished second in voting, while Torvald Bakker of the Santa Ana Broncs finished third.
