The Math Says - San Diego Out of Playoffs Thursday, September 26th , 2080 It's a better-luck-next-year situation for the San Diego Destroyers, as the club today became mathematically eliminated from postseason consideration. Team manager Steve Alstadt said, "It's always a letdown" to miss the playoffs, but added that the club's effort was appreciated. The Destroyers have made the playoffs 19 times in their 67 years as a Rising Star League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 7th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2073. In the last 10 seasons, the Destroyers have missed the playoffs 7 times. |
