No Late-Season Magic Coming: Los Angeles Out of Playoffs Monday, September 23rd , 2080 It's now time for the Los Angeles Stars to start turning their attention to what can be done to help improve the club for next season. The team was formally eliminated from playoff contention today for the 2080 season. "We knew a title was a long shot at this point, but mentally there's a big difference between a tiny chance and no chance at all," said Stars starting pitcher Mike Merdinger. Before this season, the Stars last missed the playoffs in 2075. In the 91 years they have been a Rising Star League franchise, they have missed the playoffs 73 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Stars have missed the playoffs 5 times. Los Angeles last won the League Championship in 2077. |
