Playoffs Won't Happen for Gaedels Thursday, September 19th , 2080 Postseason baseball won't be coming to St. Louis this year. The quest for the playoffs ended for the St. Louis Gaedels today, as they were mathematically eliminated from contention. "Not the first time I've experienced this," said Gaedels manager Mak Dolnick, "but it never gets fun." St. Louis last appeared in the postseason in 2078. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 57 times in their 91-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Gaedels have missed the playoffs 2 times. St. Louis last won the League Championship in 2073. |
