The San Antonio Angels starting pitcher sustained a season-ending injury against the San Francisco Friars and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Rios was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a damaged elbow ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 13 months. In 13 starts this season, Rios has recorded a 5-3 record and a 6.43 ERA. |
