EC Player of the Week Chosen Monday, September 9th , 2080 When it came to hitting the baseball, Tom Schwartzmiller was in a class by himself in the Eastern Conference this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding catcher for Maine tagged opposing pitchers for a .529 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 9 hits in 17 at-bats, 3 homers, 6 runs scored and 3 RBIs. For the season, Schwartzmiller has produced 75 hits in 295 at-bats for a .254 average with 14 home runs and gotten on base at a .310 clip. |
