Dickerson Keeps Hit Streak Alive Saturday, August 29th , 2076 Portland lost to the San Antonio Angels 10-1 at Tesoro Stadium today, but Brick Dickerson kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 1 hit. The Dragons second baseman has now delivered hits in 20 straight games. "Brick has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Portland manager Greg Carpenter told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Brick Dickerson struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. So far this year Dickerson is batting .310 with 11 home runs. |
