Rook Makes it Official, Will Retire Friday, September 6th , 2080 Peter Rook is stepping away from the game of baseball at the end of the season. The San Antonio Angels player gave a brief explanation to reporters this afternoon. "It's time to step away from the game and work on phase two of my life - world domination," the 38-year-old joked. Rook wisecracked for several minutes while reminiscing about high and low points of his career. At the end of the session, Rook sent a personal message. "I truly thank all you fans." Rook has appeared in 457 games in his career and claimed 13 saves. He has 78 wins and 71 losses and a 3.88 ERA with 965 strikeouts in 1321.2 innings. |
