The Eastern Conference thought it was worthy of an award and named Antonio Avellaneda, starter for the Montreal Harfangs, August's Pitcher of the Month. He also held the opposition to a .216 average while posting 36 strikeouts in 33.1 innings. This season, Avellaneda has fanned 175 in 175.2 innings and collected a 10-13 record with a 4.20 ERA. |
