Season Over for Leon Almazan in Kansas City Friday, August 21st , 2076 "It was a freak thing," said a dejected Leon Almazan after injuring himself in a game against Washington. The Kansas City manager told reporters that he's expected to miss up to 6 months with a broken bone in the elbow. The Athletics are expected to announce a roster move in the next day or two. Thus far this season Almazan is hitting .264 with 14 home runs, 38 RBIs and 58 runs scored. He has 98 hits in 371 at-bats and has played in 99 games. |
