Chicago Loses Rene Lazzarali, Will Miss Season Tuesday, August 16th , 2078 The season is finished for Rene Lazzarali of the Chicago Phantoms. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Phantoms reliever suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Washington Senators. Team doctors said it would take at least 13 months to heal. To this point in the season he has had no saves. Lazzarali has made 11 relief appearances, tossed 12.2 innings and struck out 7 with a record of 1 win and no losses. |
