Hit Streak Now at 20 for Valdes Monday, August 10th , 2076 Ross Valdes, first baseman for the Washington Senators, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 1 hit in his club's 3-1 victory today over the Havana Metropolitanos at The ESPN Zone today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Ross Valdes grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, walked in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. This season Valdes has hit at a .352 clip with 16 RBIs, 1 home runs and 16 runs scored.
