Thunderbirds-Greens Swap Confirmed Sunday, August 2nd , 2076 A trade was announced today at a press conference in Phoenix. Not satisfied with their current roster, the Phoenix Thunderbirds general manager shook things up by acquiring 25-year old 2B Frazer Fisk, 22-year old 2B Bruce Gasca, 23-year old RHP Manny Texidor, 22-year old LHP Gene Doriott, and 21-year old 3B Min-yul Lee from the Boston Greens for 29-year old SS Greg Wozniak. "We're a better team now," Thunderbirds general manager Joe Busch said. "We've added several pieces to the puzzle." Phoenix will retain a portion of Wozniak's remaining contract. In 87 games this season Wozniak is batting .268 with 95 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 55 runs and driven in 33. To date Fisk has chalked up a .235 average with 1 home run, driven in 40 runs and scored 27 times. |
