Havana's Wilde Sidelined for Season
Tuesday, July 26th , 2078
Havana second baseman Phil Wilde left today's game with a broken bone in the elbow. The injury looked like it occurred running the bases in the game against San Diego. One fan said, "As soon as it happened, you could tell something was wrong." The injury will likely leave the Metropolitanos without Wilde for about 4-5 months.
A look at his current stats shows Wilde with a .294 average, 11 home runs, 37 RBIs and 56 runs scored. He has played in 97 games.
