Destroyers Chris Whiffen to Miss Year Friday, September 17th , 2083 The season is ending on a bad note for Chris Whiffen, reliever for the San Diego Destroyers. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Whiffen was hurt against the Seattle Arrows while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn rotator cuff and will be out for at least 4 months. This year, Whiffen has earned 1 save, worked 62 innings, fanned 60 hitters and recorded a 4.06 ERA. He has also put up a 2-2 won-lost mark. |
