EC #1 Pitcher in September is Montreal's Mathews Sunday, October 1st , 2079 The Pitcher of the Month has been picked and the Eastern Conference trophy went to Montreal hurler Danny Mathews for his strong performance in September. During the month, Mathews was impressive with a 3.10 ERA and 5 wins and no losses. In 40.2 innings he struck out 39 and gave up 31 hits and 16 walks. Thus far this season, Mathews has tossed 177.1 innings in 30 starts, fanned 168 batters, walked 70 and put up a 4.62 ERA with 12 wins and 11 losses. |
