Wolves Out of Playoff Race Saturday, September 23rd , 2079 It's now time for the Vancouver Wolves to start turning their attention to what can be done to help improve the club for next season. The team was formally eliminated from playoff contention today for the 2079 season. "We knew a title was a long shot at this point, but mentally there's a big difference between a tiny chance and no chance at all," said Wolves starting pitcher Raul Garibaldi. Vancouver last appeared in the postseason in 2074. This is their 5th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 74 times in their 90-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Wolves have only made the playoffs once. Vancouver has won the League Championship 3 times in their history. |
