Morikawa Hit Streak Over
Monday, September 4th , 2079
The 20-game hitting streak is over.
Minneapolis Vikings second baseman Midori Morikawa failed to get a hit against the Portland Dragons and had his consecutive-game hitting streak broken. The 26-year-old went 0-for-4 in his club's 4-2 victory over the Dragons at Minneapolis Grounds.
"I think I only made it to 20 games because I got lucky once or twice," he said. "So I guess I can't complain too much that I got unlucky and broke the streak."
For the year, Morikawa has hit at a .289 clip with 61 RBIs, 7 home runs and 55 runs scored.
