But despite joining the select list of sluggers to hit three home runs in a game, it didn't guarantee a victory. The San Diego Destroyers fell to the Arrows, 17-12. In his big day at Power Ballpark, the San Diego right fielder went 4-for-5 with 9 RBIs and scored 4 times. "It was just one of those days," he told BNN sportswriters in the postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball. "You would think three homers would win most games. It was good to hit 'em, but a win would have really made my day." Jose Gonzales hit a three-run home run off Jared Bruner in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jared Bruner in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Victor Roman in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and flied out in the 9th.
