Culhane Reaches 2000 Milestone Saturday, September 2nd , 2079 What a day for Sean Culhane. The 37-year-old Chicago left fielder reached the 2000-hit mark today and the Phantoms whipped the San Antonio Angels 5-1. Culhane told reporters, "It's good to finally get it. The closer you get to 2000, the harder it is to get there. Now the pressure is off and I can go back to just playing ball." He went 1 for 3 in the game to reach the milestone. In his career, Culhane has played in 1979 games, totaling 2000 hits, 481 doubles, 128 triples and 15 homers. He has hit .267 with 599 RBIs and scored 1317 times.
