After today, Tillmam Velado can celebrate. The Alaska Kodiaks right fielder powered three into the stands at Tundradome against the Las Vegas Aces. "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," Velado told reporters after the game. "Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today, I was really trying on that last one." In all, he was 3-for-4 as the Kodiaks toppled Las Vegas by a score of 13-3, knocking in 6 runs and scoring 3 times. "He is blessed with a natural home run swing," Alaska manager Alex King said. "He gets the ball up in the air." Tillmam Velado struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Gary Banks in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Mike Hill in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Mike Hill in the 7th and walked in the 8th.
