Ruiz Earns August's Best Pitcher Honor Friday, September 1st , 2079 August's standout hurler was Roberto Ruiz of Toronto. He muzzled Eastern Conference hitters and held them in check the entire month to capture the Pitcher of the Month award. To win the honor Ruiz compiled an impressive 6-0 mark and 1.57 ERA in 6 starts. The Juggernauts star hurler also rung up 35 strikeouts in 40 innings. To date this year, Ruiz has compiled a 17-6 mark with a 2.95 ERA in 28 starts. |
