Wedel Crashes 3 HR Against St. Louis

Toronto first baseman Jason Wedel blasted three homers at Veeck Park in the 6-5 Juggernauts victory over the St. Louis Gaedels.
For the game, Jason Wedel scored 3 times and knocked in 4 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Wedel when he reached home plate.
"It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 4-for-6, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Wedel told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day."
Jason Wedel hit a solo-shot off Carlos Yturralde in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Carlos Yturralde in the 6th, flied out in the 7th, struck out in the 10th and hit a solo-shot off Alex Mijangos in the 12th.
This season, Wedel is batting .250 with 8 home runs. He has scored 16 runs and driven in 16.
