Sordia Fires 7-0 Shutout for Tucson Tuesday, July 21st , 2076 Marcos Sordia shut down the San Diego Destroyers today, blanking them 7-0 on 5 hits, ringing up 8 strikeouts and allowing no walks. The Tucson Toros pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on. "I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Sordia said after the game. "I feel like my mechanics were getting better. I was able to make some adjustments and get a little more comfortable out there." So far in 20 appearances this season, Sordia has recorded 9 wins and sustained 5 losses.
