Arrows End Rouse Streak
Thursday, July 25th , 2080
Minneapolis second baseman Joel Rouse came into today's game against the Seattle Arrows on a hot streak. He left on a cold one.

The Arrows did their jobs well, beating the Minneapolis Vikings, 7-0, and holding Rouse hitless to snap his 27-game hitting streak. The 30-year-old second baseman had a few words to say after finishing 0-for-4, telling reporters only that he "came up short."

"What Joel did was exciting and quite an achievement," said Vikings manager Ace Cooan. "It's tough enough to get one hit in this league, much less go 27 games in a row. I'm even more proud of the way he handled the press coverage. He never let the frenzy get to him or affect his play."

In 94 games Rouse is hitting .299 this season with 112 hits, 4 home runs, 39 RBIs, 11 walks, .323 OBP and has scored 51 runs.
