Monday, July 22nd , 2080
Joel Rouse's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 25 games. The Minneapolis second baseman smacked 3 hits against the Denver Glaciers in today's game at Minneapolis Grounds, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Vikings drop the game, 7-3.
"I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Joel Rouse singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
This year, Rouse has collected a .298 batting average to date with 108 hits in 362 at-bats, 37 RBIs, 4 home runs and scored 48 times. He has played in 91 games.
