Angels Filiberto Ciriaco to Miss Year Sunday, July 21st , 2080 The doctors have spoken and Filiberto Ciriaco of the San Antonio Angels didn't like what he heard. The 26-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Ciriaco sustained his season-ending injury during the Toronto Juggernauts game yesterday at Molson Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the San Antonio medical staff reported Ciriaco had bone chips in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 8 months. This year, his stats show Ciriaco has no saves in 50 relief appearances with a 4-1 record and 2.58 ERA. |
