St. Louis Loses Keith Sexton for Season
Friday, July 19th , 2080
The doctors have spoken and Keith Sexton of the St. Louis Gaedels didn't like what he heard. The 40-year-old shortstop is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Sexton sustained his season-ending injury during the Brooklyn Browns game yesterday at Brown Town. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while colliding with a player at a base. Today the St. Louis medical staff reported Sexton had a torn meniscus and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.
So far this year, Sexton has hit .168 with 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and 20 runs scored.
