Ferris Stretches Hit String to 20 Tuesday, July 16th , 2080 The number just keeps getting higher. Cincinnati designated hitter Bryan Ferris has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 4 at-bats as the Cincinnati won the game, 3-0, over the Miami Cyclones at Kroger Stadium. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Miami manager Chris Stephan said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Bryan Ferris struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Roberto Davila in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. This season, Ferris is swinging the bat at a .260 rate with 98 hits in 377 at-bats. To date he has hit 21 home runs, scored 52 runs and driven in 60. |
