Lindberg Hit Streak Over
Monday, July 15th , 2080
Buffalo defeated Vancouver, 5-3, at Fox-Chong Park, but saw the 22-game hitting streak of Rangers right fielder Al Lindberg snapped -- the Wolves held Lindberg hitless in 2 at-bats.
"I enjoyed the streak," he said in a BNN interview after the game. "It's great in one way, but the day-to-day pressure to keep it going can be tough to handle, too. The main thing is we got the win today. That's all that really counts."
For the season, Lindberg is currently batting .336 with 4 home runs and 32 RBIs. In 61 games he has reached base at a .409 rate and scored 29 runs to date.
