Great Month Gets EC Top Rookie Trophy Friday, July 1st , 2078 When all the votes were counted for the Rookie of the Month in June, Jim Haas of the Boston Greens was on top of the pile. The standout first baseman rifled hits here, there, and everywhere in Eastern Conference ballparks the entire month to win the honor. The 28-year-old first baseman took the trophy by putting up a .315 average and .388 on-base percentage, 29 hits, 6 home runs, 17 RBIs and 19 runs scored. Looking at his present stats, Haas has compiled a .299 batting average in 40 games with a .369 on-base percentage, while hitting 6 home runs and driving in 20 runs. |
