Athletics Barrett Out Rest Of Season Thursday, June 30th , 2078 Andy Barrett of the Athletics just might have to call it quits for the season. The 28-year-old Kansas City reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the Los Angeles Stars recently at Stars Ballpark. Barrett suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch. The Athletics medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 12-13 months. During this season, Barrett has 17 relief appearances and registered 0 saves.
