Chicago Phantoms Ship Palomino to Havana Sunday, June 12th , 2078 BNN is reporting a rumored trade between the Chicago Phantoms and Havana Metropolitanos has been finalized. The deal, which is expected to be announced sometime during the next few hours, will reportedly send 33-year old LHP Eddie Palomino, 29-year old LHP Nelson Valdez, and a 6th round draft pick to Havana in return for nothing. The clubs were noncommittal on the trade, but did not deny it. This season, Palomino has chalked up a 6.04 ERA while ringing up no saves with 3 wins and 2 losses. He has made 23 relief appearances, pitching 25.1 innings, giving up 32 hits, and holding opponents to a .308 batting average. Palomino has also recorded 18 strikeouts and allowed 11 walks. |
