Las Vegas, San Diego Swap Players Sunday, June 16th , 2080 According to BNN there were mixed emotions by the players involved in the trade between the Las Vegas Aces and the San Diego Destroyers. As part of the deal, the Aces swapped 27-year old RHP R.J. Mendenhall to the Destroyers getting 28-year old RHP Masaru Uno, 23-year old minor league RHP Billy Zaffuto, and a 2nd round draft pick in return. The players indicated it was good to get a fresh new start in another city, but it was difficult to leave your friends on the old team. This season, Mendenhall shows a 1-6 record in 13 games, 64 innings, 58 strikeouts, and a 3.23 ERA. In 14 starts this season, Uno has recorded a 6-3 record and a 5.96 ERA. |
