Boston Sends Klinker to Chicago Sunday, May 19th , 2080 It's all done except the paperwork. The Boston Greens and the Chicago Phantoms have agreed to a trade that will send 32-year old RHP Cookie Klinker to Chicago, while nothing will be shipped to Boston. A top front office executive with the Greens described the trade talks as "quick and easy." "We're glad to get this deal done. We think it's something that helps our ball club and it didn't take too long at all to sort this one out," he said. Boston will retain a portion of Klinker's remaining contract. For this year, Klinker has chalked up 2 wins and 4 losses in 6 starts with 35 strikeouts in 34.2 innings and a 3.63 ERA. |
