Brankin Raps 3 HR Against Angels

Chris Brankin went yard three times in a Los Angeles Stars victory over the San Antonio Angels at Tesoro Stadium.
"I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit."
For the day, the Los Angeles right fielder went 4-for-6 against San Antonio with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Stars to the 11-1 win.
"I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out."
Chris Brankin hit a two-run home run off Ruben Trigueros in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Ruben Trigueros in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Logan Meyers in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
This year, Brankin is batting .328 with 8 home runs.
