WC Star of the Week Named Monday, May 6th , 2080 The top batter in the Western Conference last week was Brian Wooten, who batted .480 and towered above everybody with a 6-game hitting barrage. During the week Wooten banged out a .480 batting average (12-for-25), 4 home runs, 8 runs batted in and scored 7 runs. Today the Denver left fielder received the WC Player of the Week Award. Looking at his season stats, Wooten has compiled a .344 batting average and a .420 on-base percentage, while hitting 8 home runs and driving in 27 runs. |
