Tuesday, April 23rd , 2080
Portland Dragons first baseman Alex Guilzar had a magnificent game against the Seattle Arrows, rocketing three balls out of Power Ballpark to help the Dragons win, 9-4.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, Guilzar went 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Portland manager Greg Carpenter said later. "Seems like Alex found his home run stroke today."
Alex Guilzar hit a solo-shot off Honey Geier in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Honey Geier in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Honey Geier in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
To date Guilzar has chalked up a .389 average with 6 home runs, driven in 19 runs and scored 16 times.
