Toros Take It on Chin, Lose, 10-0, to Denver
Saturday, July 24th , 2083
The bats were ice cold for the Tucson Toros at Mountain Dew Park. Denver Glaciers starter Raul Garibaldi kept the Toros cold all day, shutting them out, 10-0. In a fine outing, the 28-year-old hurler allowed 4 hits while striking out 6 and walking 1.
"I'm not quite sure what was different today," Garibaldi admitted later. "I didn't feel like I was doing anything differently, but the results speak for themselves."
Garibaldi has made 20 starts so far this year and put up a 8-10 won-lost record with a 5.14 ERA. In 124.1 innings he has allowed 121 hits, walked 35 and struck out 115.
