Olivo Slams Door on Kansas City, Notches 300th Save Thursday, July 6th , 2079 He came in from the bullpen to a standing ovation, pitched 0.2 innings and then got another standing ovation. All the cheering was for Julio Olivo, who nailed down his 300th career save in a 8-5 win over the Kansas City Athletics at Seaward Stadium in San Diego. The Destroyers star reliever held them to no runs and no hits to reach his historic milestone. Afterwards, the popular Olivo posed for pictures holding the game ball with "300" scrawled across it, and then was toasted by his teammates and reporters in the clubhouse. Since he came into the league, Olivo has made 753 appearances, putting up a 49-65 record with 300 saves.
