Year Ends for Carlos Yturralde in St. Louis Sunday, June 18th , 2079 The St. Louis Gaedels were dealt a severe blow when Carlos Yturralde was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the New York Titans. After the game, the team trainer reported Yturralde might have to spend a lengthy time on the injured list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 32-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. They indicated it would take Yturralde at least 13 months to heal. To date this year, Yturralde has compiled a 5-4 mark with a 2.83 ERA in 15 starts. |
